Exploring Okamoto: September 12, 2013

That was an amazing day! Probably my favorite day so far (this was written on the 15th). We started the day off by getting our student numbers in the lobby of the Okura Hotel (I'm #9, woot) and then proceeded to the Motomachi train station. We got off at Okamoto and walked to our new school (while sweating bullets). We were shown the Ajisai Room, which is where we will probably spend a majority of our free time on campus, and then were escorted to a classroom where we had to fill out documents. We eventually went to lunch, filled out more documents, then met up with Konan students who would be our guides for the day. Our groups were randomly assigned, and I was with Tyler. The three students that were in our group were Akane, Chinatsu, and Junpei. We started off by getting a short tour of the campus, then proceeded to Baskin Robbins to kill time. We shared their #1 seller, Popping Shower, which has pop rocks in it! Amazing, it crackles in your mouth, like whoa.
After killing time we decided to start the stamp rally, WOOT! It was essentially a scavenger hunt around the Okamoto area that the university had setup. I got some free samples, coupons, and chocolates! It was pretty amazing and fun. The guides were helpful and were easy to talk to. We ended the night by walking around Sannomiya and taking some purikura!
I was having so much fun, I hoped that the night would never end! By 11, I was in bed and ready to snooze.
